The Hampshire County Arts Council has a rich history of supporting and encouraging local artists with art shows, classes and exhibitions.

Current programs include Art in Public Places curated by Ken Caldwell.  Artists are exhibited in local businesses such as The Bank of Romney, FNB Bank in Romey and the Romney Federal Credit Union. Anyone interested in participating can email aipp@HampshireArts.org.

The Arts Council holds a yearly Art Show that is judged and prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and several Honorable Mentions.  For information on winners of the last show and  on the next one,  go to the Spring Arts Show page.

And to join in the fun, keep an eye out for a Romney Project Mural Painting opportunity. So far, we have painted a wall at the public swimming pool on School Street on the west end of town, an historic building on the east end of Romney. and several murals on the Hampshire County Co-op and Heritage Marketplace.
